Who we are
he Royal Knights of Sntiago are a group of medieval reenactors. We display medieval life from the 12th to the 15th Centuries. Our camp includes various characters, including several knights, merchants, servants and more. Each member has his/her own little tale which you can find here. We are an international group with members from the U.S.A., Italy, France and Germany. The home of our group is near the city of Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany.


What we do

t medieval markets and feasts, we display, period, camp-life with several tents, a fireplace, tables and seats. Visitors are invited to inspect the camp, weapons, armour and banners.  During festivities, we offer various activities, such as, medieval alchemy, sword-fight training, archery demonstrations, jousting and more.

e perform shows with fighting knights in the form of a, short, theater play. The theme of the show can vary, but it always involves several of our characters. you will see pitures in the gallery.  

f you are planning a medieval (or other) festivity like a knights' dinner or a medieval marriage, we can perform either a complete show, or extracts of it for your entertainment. Our aims

he Royal Knights of Santiago conduct Medieval performances for theatre, civic and private organizations, throughout Europe, on behalf of selected charities.


part from entertaining the public (and ourselves), we are, also, motivated to give some interesting background information about life, society and customs in the Middle Ages. Our material, from armor to costumes, is patterned as, authentic, re-creations for the epoch. We work, diligently, to research the actual history of that time. Charity

e re-enact in the tradition of the historical Knights of Santiago, who were founded as a Knights' order with, not only, a military, but also, a social and caritative mission. They were the protectors of the pilgrims along the Camino de Santiago to Santiago de Compostela, as well as, maintained many hospitals and provided important services for the benefit of the people . We want to continue this, caring, sprit by donating a portion of our income to selected charitable organizations and projects. At present, we contribute to the following institutions:

World Vision is a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

KUNO is a project to collect money for building a university hospital for children in Eastern Bavaria (Regensburg), a region which till now lacks a facility of that kind.
